Gill Thackray is a business psychologist, coach, visiting professor, writer, mindfulness teacher and regular conference speaker.
Gill has successfully worked with hundreds of organizations to improve performance, innovation and strategy over the last twenty years. In that time Gill has supported a wide variety of organizations in their quest for success, ranging from the likes of global organisations (KPMG, Google, Deloitte, United Nations, Institute for Chartered Accountants England and Wales, L’Oreal PL, Barclays Bank, Shell, UPS PL & Cafe Nero) to national and international non-profits (UK Sport, the V & A Museum, International Planned Parenting, Shelter The National Campaign Against Homelessness, Nacro) universities (Cambridge University, British School of Osteopathy, Jagiellonian University PL, CHE Cambodia, Wales University Hospital) and a number of successful start-ups (Clarasys, White Box) and Government Bodies (UK Central Government, Kenyan Ministry of Tourism, Nigerian Ministry of Communications, Ministry of Communications Pakistan, United Nations Iraq, UK Local Government Association).
Gill’s areas of expertise are in the application of psychology and neuroscience in the workplace.

Gill is our resident expert on mindfulness in the workplace and has worked with a number of high profile organizations to embed mindfulness into working practices, increasing employee wellbeing, focus and performance. She has an MSc in Mindfulness Studies and is currently a PhD candidate specialising in mindful leadership, resilience and compassion. She is a qualified mindfulness teacher, adhering to the UK Mindfulness Good Practice Guidelines and is a registered teacher on the UK Mindfulness Teachers List.
Gill regularly writes about psychology, wellbeing and mindfulness for international publications including The Guardian, Thrive Global, HR Zone and The Times. She is also author of ‘Resilience: 20 Bullet Proof Positive Psychology Hacks’ to be published in 2017. She regularly speaks at conferences on the subject of wellbeing and performance in the workplace. Gill is also Visiting Professor at CHE University in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Gill’s other great passion is writing, her work is available in a number of fiction and non-fiction publications and she is currently completing her first novel. In her spare time Gill runs a small trust that supports refugees on the Thailand/Burma border, she also has a huge love of travel and is a keen artist.
Gill Thackray is a member of the Association of Business Psychologists, Institute of Leadership and Management, British Neuroscience Association and Chartered Institute of Personnel Development. She has practiced mindfulness for over fifteen years, having lived, worked and studied in China, Tibet, India and Thailand.
